Flexo printing is a direct printing method due to the embossed print, the ink is supplied to the printing mold by the anilox shaft. The anilox shaft is a metal shaft, the surface is engraved with many small cells (cells). During the printing process, the shaft is partially immersed in the ink trough, the ink will enter the cells on the surface of the shaft, the ink on the surface will be brushed away by the ink knife. Then the printing die will contact the shaft and receive ink from the cells on the surface of the print plate.
Flexo printing mold: – Made of photopolymer resin. The mold can be made by photochemical, CTP or laser engraving, and then attached to the printing plate by double-sided tape or magnetic field. The choice of printing mold (thickness, hardness, number of layers) depends on the printing material (paper, carton or film).
FLEXO PRINTING TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION
Flexo printing technology for printing quality is not as high as other technologies if printing in the form of images. Normally, flexographic printing usually uses mixed colors (solid colors) with anilox rollers leading to the ink, so it has the advantage that the product quality is uniform when printed and has a deep color because T’ram 150DPI is used. Flexo printing technology is being widely used and has a lot of potential for development thanks to the advantage of meeting a large production schedule, being able to print on roll materials for automatic gluing machines.
Especially Flexo technology has an automatic die-off system right after the printing process. If the printing material is decals, the excess parts of the product are also peeled off from the adhesive base. Flexo printing method is a suitable choice for printing labels, stickers, stamps, labels, labels, packages, cartons and can be printed on many special materials such as fabric, paperboard or printed on polymer film…
